New off-road track

A new track of nearly two kilometers, featuring mixed routes with gradually increasing difficulty, is available for professional off-road driving courses.

CFRM becomes a partner of e-distribuzione (Enel Group) and Mercedes-Benz Italia for safe driving courses on the new Unimog trucks.

Specialization in agricultural machinery

CFRM becomes a qualified training center for Deutz-Fahr and the Gruppo BCS.

Training by CFRM personnel is now routinely provided in twelve countries.

A new 5,000-square-meter testing area is being set up for winter ice driving courses.

ENAMA Sponsorship

CFRM receives the sponsorship of ENAMA (National Agency for Agricultural Mechanization) for “the important role it plays in ensuring operator safety.”

A New Face

The CFRM structure is being profoundly reorganized—including new operational layouts—to better meet changing teaching and testing needs.

The Merlo Training and Research Center is accredited for continuing professional development by the Piedmont Region.

NATO Qualification

CFRM is authorized to organize training courses within NATO. CFRM training projects are now available in four languages.

The first training course abroad is delivered in Poland.

2010
Italian Civil Protection Training Courses

The first qualifications issued were for the operation of telescopic handlers, and in subsequent years, training courses for the operation of earthmoving machinery, self-propelled and truck-mounted cranes, forklifts, and agricultural and forestry tractors will follow.

2009
ISO 9001 Certification

CFRM’s quality management system is ISO 9001 certified.

The first courses on the safe operation of operating machinery were offered to students at technical and vocational schools, an activity that will continue with growing success over the years.

2008
CFRM-affiliated training centers are established

To offer qualified local training, a network of affiliated training centers is established throughout Italy.

The center instructors are professionals trained and qualified directly by the Merlo Training and Research Center.

2007
CFRM’s growth begins

CFRM’s test areas are chosen by the Taurinense Alpine Brigade to train drivers of its Lince armored vehicles.

The Center becomes an IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) Qualified School, the world’s leading authority on training for lifting personnel at height.

2006
The first training course is offered.

The first qualifications issued are for operating telescopic handlers.
The Merlo Training and Research Center immediately established itself as the most innovative training and education facility in Italy.

2005
The CFRM is operational.

It occupies an area of over 50,000 square meters, with over 2,000 square meters of covered space for offices, classrooms, and laboratories.

The modern, hydraulically tilting platform for lateral and transverse stability testing of operating machinery is a benchmark in the industry.
